8/9/12 Russ Leona Trip - Pictou, Nova Scotia

This is typical Nova Scotia when you aren't on the coast.

The waterfront at Pictou, NS.

A replica of the ship Hector which brought the first Scottish settlers in 1773.  There were 200+ people on this ship.  18 children died from small pox and dysentery.
We traveled from Shediac, New Brunswick to Pictou, Nova Scotia.  After setting up, went into town and toured the Hector and museum.  We watched a movie on it.  It was very impressive.  The early settlers had it so rough.  We listened to some guys practicing their bag pipes in a park as we ate a nice dinner.
