8/6/12 Beach & Acadian Village

We were driving down the road and found a wonderful campsite outside Bathurst, New Brunswick.  It was right on the beach.  We went out for a great seafood dinner.  The next morning we went for a long walk on the beach.  Sadie loved it as she could run and play.  She was wet from the neck down so it was a shower for her when we returned to the motorhome.  Some kind neighbors shared some mussels with us.  They were OK.  Later our next door neighbors had us over for clams.  They were great, we had a nice evening.  We left the next morning early and toured the Acadian Village.  It was very interesting.  They demonstrated how they bake bread, make linen and wool clothes, make barrels, tin utensils, saw logs and in general how they lived in the 700 to 1800’s.  It was very interesting and they were very friendly and helpful.
